UK Free Sims

With the current economic climate being what it is, there has been a resurgence in popularity of non-contract mobiles. This is referrring to pay as you go and SIM only. These offer total flexibility and particularly in the case of SIM only, excellent value for money.Long gone are the days when we had to pay for SIM cards too, everywhere you look on the internet there are sites offering free pay as you go sims. You just pop in your details and up to 4 come through your letterbox within a couple of days.

All the major networks have a vast array of plans available on SIM only. T-Mobile, Orange, O2, Tesco and Vodafone all have attractive offers to entice users to their network. You can understand why the SIM only is so popular. First of all you aren’t tied into any lengthy contract, it works on a month by month basis. So you pay the set amount at the end of the month for service the next. If, however, you want to change to a different network you just stop paying, there’s no penalty.

You can easily get your handset unlocked at any phone store, or at one of the stalls you see in big malls and precincts and pop in your SIM card. This allows you the flexibiltiy to move between the networks to get the best deal for you. The fact that you don’t get given a handset means that these kind of deals offer exceptional value. You will get more texts, minutes etc for your money than you would ever get with a standard contract, just by taking the phone out of the equation. Any handset can be used for a SIM only deal, ex contract, pay as you go, it really doesn’t matter.

Another key feature of the SIM only deal is that by shopping around you will find the best plan to suit you. With an ordinary contract, and even  on pay as you go, the rewards are generally free texts. Now this is great if you are a text addict, but what about those of us who talk more? There are deals out here for talkers too, giving free landline minutes, free calls to the same network etc. Those who can’t have an ordinary contract for whatever reason can now get as good a deal as those who can.

The networks all have specific benefits, whether it be cheap cinema ticket, DVD rentals etc. These benefits go right across the board, so you can get these without a contract. If you have pay as you go or SIM only you can still have your cheap nights out, or in. Before you decide which to go for , weigh up the pros and cons. Contract, long tie in, little flexibility, but you get a new phone. Pay as you go- total flexibility, top up what you can afford, expensive call charges. Sim only – month by month contract, excellent packages, no notice required to quit. Finally, it’s the customer who is coming off on the winning side, not the networks.
